The 2-Series` top of the line BMW M235i model was recently caught on a spy video while standing quietly on a trailer and waiting perhaps to be driven to the upcoming 2016 Geneva Motor Show, which opens its gates next Monday.
But as we can depict from the video provided by Bimmer Today, this is no ordinary BMW M235i and at a closer look, a trained eye might discover the signature of AC Schnitzer tuning company, which is easily recognizable thanks to its massive body style kit.
This is a seriously modified M235i which might be admired in its full plenitude at the event, the model revealing the custom front and rear aprons, aerodynamic flaps, door mirrors, wide rear wing, all signaling a track-focused model.
The overall design is also complemented by the extremely wide 5-spoke alloy wheels, the ACL2 inscription on the side as well as the enormous brakes. And this would definitely lead to some heavy mods added under the hood. But we are looking forward to seeing this one displayed in Geneva, next week.
In the stock version, the BMW M235i packs the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder unit, also found on the M3 and M4 siblings.
The engine develops a total of 362 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, making the car run the whole 0 to 100 km/h distance in just 4.8 seconds, via to the 8-speed automatic transmission.
